A bail bondsman, is known as a Limited Surety Agent or professional bail agent , helps an incarcerated individual post the bail set by a court so that he or she can be released from jail. In return for doing so, the bondsman charges a flat rate 10 % of the bail amount. Florida require that bail bondsmen be licensed, which involves completing a training program and passing a background check. To become licensed, an individual usually must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or the equivalent, have no criminal record, provide evidence of good character, and pass an exam. Continuing education is commonly required to maintain licensure. No prior experience necessary

 The National Surety Association Pre-licensing Course is an approved course, Provider # 370587 from the Florida Department of Financial Services for prospective surety agents / bail bond agents interested in becoming a surety agent or starting a bail agency in Florida. Upon successfully completing a three step process; 1). Florida Bail Bond Academy 120 hour course 2). the correspondence course and 3). one year internship, you will be eligible to take the State of Florida surety agent licensing exam.

TUITION REGISTRATION:

· Pre-registration prior to class attendance is preferred.

· Payment & Fees, Tuition & Fees are required to be paid in full prior to your first class attendance unless other arrangements have been made.

· Registration and Tuition Payment on the day of class are subject to an full fee $550.

How does it work, how do I take this class?

Please have your check or money order made payable to The Florida Bail Bond Academy. The tuition for the course is $550.00 and $600 day of class - please contact The Florida Bail Bond Academy}. There is no deadline for applying. Students can register up until the first day of class; however, since class size is limited, submitting your registration early is more likely to guarantee you a seat. Full payment or a $100 non-refundable registration fee must be made when registering for this class.

WITHDRAWL:

Pursuant to Florida Bail Bonds Academy rules and policy, a registered students who wish to withdraw from this course must do so prior to the first day of class or, at the latest, on the first break of day of class . Students withdrawing from this course beyond the first break on the first day of class . will not be entitled to a tuition refund. If you have any questions, please contact us (904) 677-5113

ATTENDANCE:

Students must attend the first day of class. Attendance will be taken at all class sessions. Students must attend sufficient hours to comply with State of Florida Agent and Agency rules and policies. The attendance policy will be explained on the first day of class. However, please note that students can generally miss up to two class sessions and still be eligible to graduate depending on the circumstances.
